Barbara Baskin earned three degrees from Wayne State University and University of Michigan and a NYS Administrative license. I was a member of Contemporary Theater and won a state award in Spanish poetry. I started the Oak Park (film) Study Group. I worked in the Army and with special needs children in Detroit. I administarted a BOCES Summer School for Gifted Children, administered a convention for gifted children, and directed the SUNY Program called Saturday Science and More while on the faculty at Stony Brook University heading programs in Special Education and Child and Family Studies. I co-wrote/co-edited 6 books, one now in the Library of Congress, reviewed manuscripts for more than 20 publishers and was a book "doctor" for Bowker and McGraw Hill.I was a VP for an educational computer company. I presently review content and quality of audiobooks for the ALA.I have been an Impartial Hearing Officer for NYS and a Suffolk County Court Monitor. I have been on the Boards of 3 nonprofits in NYS.
