Grace Fitterer has made the North Shore of Long Island her home for almost 50 years.  A graduate of Port Jefferson High School, Grace is preently a leading professional with Re/Max Signature Real Estate in East Setauket, New York.

Having grown up in a family that was steeped in the arts, Grace has brought her creativity into her present field of success.  Her love of all aspects of artistic endeavor comes from being exposed at an early age by a beloved uncle who had her accompany him to exhibits and performances in New York City. Grace was present when he performed with the Metropolitan Opera Company in the chorus.

In the late 1970s, Grace and her husband, Ron, opened Gallery D'Enchante', located our Lighthouse Landing building on East Broadway.  They hosted art shows, which featured personal appearances by the artists.

Grace went on to represent a Latin American painter, Flavio Cabral.   The gallery featured his works and held a major presentation at the New York Art Expo held at the Javitz Center. His works became well known and were highly prized in personal collections from coast to coast. The gallery closed after a successful run, when personal committments took precedence.  In the intervening years, Grace and Ron continued their love and support of the arts.

Upon the inception of the Village Center, Grace was invited to join the Board of the Port Jefferson Educational and Arts Conservancy, a post which she currently still serves on.  Her work continues with pride at the great strides that have been made by the Conservancy in their fundraising and programming efforts.

Since becoming a Board Member of the Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council, Grace has enjoyed interacting with her peers in an exchnge of creative and exciting ideas.  She is co-chair of the Victorian Ball under the auspices of the Arts Council during the Dickens Festival.  Grace looks forward with anticipation to being involved in the growth and expansion of the Arts Council in Port Jefferson and the surrounding communities.
