If laughter is the best medicine, music surely runs a close second.
On the Mend with Music is all about helping hospitalized children and their families cope – music does wonders for sick children and their caregivers.
We are very fortunate to be able to bring talented musicians who know how to relate to children of all ages, from tiny infants in the neo-natal unit to 17 year olds, as well as their parents and siblings. These musicians possess kind and gentle personalities, an absolute must for brightening the day of ailing children.
The musicians stroll from room to room, stopping at each bedside for a song or two. If the child is in isolation, the musician stands outside the door to perform, so no child is left out.
Tired parents and siblings need mending, too, so the musicians give some musical TLC to them as well.
