This is Lastorka's first Solo Show at Gallery 4222. With over 25 new
pieces that have been created for this exhibition, Lastorka has been
experimenting with some new techniques that give his work an almost
sculptural feel. His control of light is exceptional giving the viewer
the impression that you would be able to reach into his paintings.
Lastorka is a traditionally trained artist from Long Island, NY. He
studied fine art at Southampton College of Long Island University where
he completed his degree in Drawing and Painting. Lastorka was awarded a
scholarship to study at the Winchester School of Art in England where he
studied printmaking and painting. Lastorka has been published in
several books and magazines and is active in the community.
