In conjunction with the Long Island based website devoted to poets and their poetry, poetryvlog.com, The Greater Port Jefferson Northern Brookhaven Arts Council is co-sponsoring an event you will not want to miss if you enjoy poetry.

This unique website celebrates it First Anniversary with the appearance of its 52nd poet. If you have not yet seen the website you are encouraged to take a moment and view any of the fine poets presently featured there:

The website was created by Port Jefferson antiquarian bookseller Michael Mart and Suffolk County's first Poet Laureate, George Wallace. Most of the featured poets are from Long Island, NYC, and Connecticut; some hail from
England and Ireland.

Join other Arts Council Members, many of the poets featured on poetryvlog.com, their viewers, and others in celebration of
Poetry. Saturday April 7th at The Setauket Neighborhood House, 95 Main Street,Setauket. From 5pm to 8pm. There will be poetry (of course), music, hors d’oeuvres, wine and other beverages, and dessert.There is a donation of $20 per person to cover the cost of refreshments and rental of the facility.
